The trust is a fund available to any child or young person who has been supported by Family Care for one day or more.
Family Care was set up by Ged Williamson in 1988 to support some of the most vulnerable children and young people in the UK.
Being labelled as a child in care is hard. Statistics show that for most children with care experience, future life prospects are not as promising as they are for children without care experience.
To help young people moving onto the next stage of their lives, the Williamson Children’s Trust was set up in 2015. The trust is a fund available to any child or young person who has been supported by Family Care for one day or more.
Recent grant applications have secured money to buy driving licenses, laptops, personal assistants and other tools that support a young person’s development.
If you would like to apply for a grant or know someone who could benefit from this, go to the Williamson Children’s Trust website and complete the online form.
