HR Administrator – Employee Relations & Training

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly organised and proactive Human Resources Administrator to join our team in North West or West Midlands, with particular responsibility for supporting employee relations processes and staff training administration.


You will work closely with the HR Manager and operational managers to ensure HR processes are well organised, accurately documented and progressed within the required timescales.

Due to the nature of the role and the location of our services, occasional travel between sites may be required. A full driving licence and access to a car are essential.


The role

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing administrative support for disciplinary, grievance, capability, attendance and other HR processes.
  • Coordinating meetings, investigations and hearings, including preparing invitations and standard correspondence.
  • Taking accurate meeting notes and maintaining confidential case records.
  • Monitoring HR actions, review dates and timescales and following up outstanding information.
  • Supporting sickness absence administration, Occupational Health referrals and probationary reviews.
  • Coordinating mandatory and role-specific training, including bookings, attendance and training records.
  • Monitoring training expiry dates and following up overdue or outstanding training.
  • Maintaining accurate information across HR systems, trackers and employee records.
  • Responding to routine HR queries and referring matters requiring HR advice or judgement to the HR Manager.
  • Supporting exit interviews and the wider administration of the employee lifecycle.


About you

We are looking for someone who is highly organised, confident working with confidential information and comfortable managing several administrative processes at the same time.


Previous experience in HR, employee relations administration or a similar administrative role is essential. You should have good IT and written communication skills, strong attention to detail and experience coordinating meetings, documentation and follow-up actions.


Experience of training administration, sickness absence and / or Occupational Health processes would be beneficial, as would experience within education, children's residential care, fostering, social care or another regulated environment.
