At Rodenhurst, we believe in creating new opportunities. Many of our pupils come to us having faced significant barriers to their education, and it is our privilege to provide a safe, nurturing, and inspiring environment where they can make a fresh start. My team is dedicated to providing bespoke support for every child, celebrating each step of progress and building a community where everyone can flourish.
A highly supportive SEN school in Telford where learners are given the individual care they need to thrive. Rodenhurst School provides a vital new beginning for pupils, with a focus on overcoming barriers to education.
Located within a developing business park, the site has been transformed into a calm and modern learning campus. Pupils who have struggled with school avoidance or anxiety are helped to feel safe, build trust, and successfully return to learning.
Our entire school model is built around therapeutic principles to ensure students feel secure and understood. We know that creating the right environment is essential for learning to take place.
We provide specialist support for young people with:
● Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs
● Trauma and Anxiety-related conditions
● Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Pathological Demand Avoidance (PDA)
Our support includes:
● Bespoke Timetables: Learning plans are tailored to each child’s specific needs, stamina, and EHC Plan.
● Nurturing Environment: From our calm and quiet classrooms to our resident bunny, every aspect of Rodenhurst is designed to be welcoming and reduce anxiety.
● Expert Staff: Our team is highly experienced in working with children who have faced significant challenges, providing patient and compassionate support.
Our curriculum is designed to be as unique as the students we teach. For learners who have experienced significant disruption to their education, we focus on rebuilding confidence and closing gaps in learning with a flexible, bespoke approach.
● Core Learning: We create individualised timetables with a strong focus on the core subjects of English and Maths, ensuring students build the foundational skills necessary for future success.
● Therapeutic and Life Skills: Learning at Rodenhurst goes beyond academics. Our curriculum is interwoven with therapeutic activities and life skills development, helping students improve their communication, emotional regulation, and self-esteem.
● Engagement-First Approach: We find what sparks each student's interest and use it to build a positive relationship with learning. The goal is to make school an engaging and enjoyable place to be.
● Pathway to the Future: As our school grows, our curriculum will grow too.
Dream big and don’t let anyone dampen your spirit. We will see you on the journey to the top!
